I hope you can help - I tried the latest version; it allows you to save the settings on one of the tabs - this does not work, or else you forgot to put in a "load settings" command.
I tried creating a key file for the program, but it does nothing; I tried loading it with and without the new keys without success - I also tried reassigning the keys by their dropdown, but that only holds for the session.
Here's the reason this is so troubling: LEFT-HANDED PLAYER.
We all use the Numpad for all commands - it is our ASD-combo - I can't relocate the keyboard and mouse into any comfortable position, I MUST use the Numpad.
Why can't I make alternate key-mapping work with this trainer? The other "normal" trainers easily allow remapping - your trainer is very difficult to use this way, having to remap every key via your dropdowns, every time I play, and then having to set all the non-wanted keys to one key (say F11) because you can't "turn off" any option, you MUST remap every key - that is the downfall of this trainer for me. The user needs access to way more key choices than you offer in dropdown choices, and also need key-combos, CTRL+1-type options.
Have I missed something here? I have tried all combinations of remaps and saved files that I can figure out, and they do not "take."
Summary:
Remapping file does not work.
"Save settings" in trainer does not work or won't load after creation.
Not enough remap choices in dropdowns.
Having said all that, as difficult as it is to use, the trainer did make an unplayable game PLAYABLE! With a fully-functioning trainer this game would be usable, as at least a player can run around and get to see everything, explore the islands and make their own fun from this clunker of a game, with the trainer's help. It has enough eye candy and weapons to have some fun with, and if not for the trainer, I never would have gotten ANY pleasure from the game; I just wish I could figure out how to make it work; as it is, it takes a half hour to load and remap everything, and then I still have this really badly-done game- system to deal with. If anything goes wrong - and it always does, with Steam, and iPlay, and two of cheathappens programs running, all over the Internet - of course it crashes, and then it still takes another half hour to recover, plus reboot time.
Fully remapable keys would solve it.
What did I miss?
Thanks for listening.
