this "mini game" is seriously making me go ballistic.. i get the right spots and jam the trigger as it says i am supposed to do but instead of opening the chest it resets the bloody lock! do anyone else have same issues with the lock-picking?

The Lockpicking minigame is testy AT BEST. Once you turn the jib to the right angle the rake starts. Get that in the right angle.. now, the REAL game begins... Keeping both at exactly the correct angles (I use a 360 controller on my PC for this game) while jamming repeatedly on the right trigger..
Sometimes it works. Other times it does not. But the things I find that result in it resetting are: 1. Not keeping both joysticks at the right angles 2. Not hitting right trigger enough times when the timer starts
Seems the game just LOVES repeated hitting on certain buttons and the response time sucks no matter what it is (especially animal encounters) when using a joystick on the PC.
i start to think the developers love to screw us gamers over. hopefully they will release a patch that makes it less annoying.. but i highly doubt it.. especially after noticing how they make the games for people who got millisecond reaction times.. <.< my eye/hand coordination isn't the best there is..

it can be annoying at first, I haven't figured out what these clicking sounds are in the lock as no game including skyrim or even fallout has explained it, I just PICK the locks, I don't actually know what any of it means, I just move my mouse till I get to the right position, damned if I know if I'm doing it correctly until I see the results, AC3 has semi-real lock-picking without an explanation the same goes for much of the features in the game... TBH the game has several visual bugs and a few ones like a GREY screen when trying to replay on the DNA sequence on occasion that it does bug... the lip syncing and the clipping and the routing issues when walking with NPC's and the weapon wheel... if you ask me someone RUSHED on the game, while I still love it, it has issues that need to be addressed that I am unsure will ever be addressed, as far as I know they consider this the finished product. My major concern is the lip syncing... this is the first game since the first assassins creed that has had these issues, this time it isn't related to peoples operating system and hardware, it's game related... something the devs rushed on, unsure if it will EVER get fixed.
I don't know if this might help you but I can adjust my mouse it's sensitivity and I lowered it to my lowest on the fly setting now now I never have to repeat it as the movement is less impacting I now have it everytime without it resetting.
I find it pretty easy using the 360 gamepad. I never tried playing the game with keyboard+mouse since most games nowadays seems to be built around consoles.
