If installing on a faster disk makes the game run better, the game is having same problem as AC3, Online Verification(?) Lagg..
Uplay needs to verify most the stuff you do, and if thats lagging the game crashes;-(

I gave up on it man, Its just continually crashing. I've spoken to ubisoft and after my third round of generic update driver lark im still awaiting a response. They themselves have said there is no reason why the game doesn't work, ah well will have to wait and see.
Hi there. Are you using an nVidia GPU? If so, check in your Windows System log and you'll probably find something like "nvtldmm.sys has stopped responding" or something similar. I had many similar issues on FC3 and AC3 and the only thing that worked permanently for me was to up the voltage for the video card, it's a TDR (Timeout Detection & Recovery) problem with their cards, the drivers don't respond quick enough. You only need to up the voltage slightly, eg mine went from 0.983v to 1.015v, using a tool like nVidia Inspector. Been playing rock steadily for 8-9 hours at a time (wife permitting!) so hopefully might help you out. Cheers BB

Man I gave your solution a try and It worked for about half an hour. I've been meaning to upgrade my gpu. I finally bit the bullet and upgraded the card from a gtx 295 to a gtx 660ti and sure I'm cooking with gravy now. I've passed your solution onto my other mates who are having the same issue with this game, and its worked for the lot of them. Thanking you !
Hey all, I have been having an issue with Far Cry just crashing after about a half an hour into playing. I have adjusted to borderless video and I have put the game into offline mode and still it keeps crashing.
A error pops up saying that FarCry 3 is not working anymore then the game shuts down. I can re-run the game but it will crash about 30 minutes later again.
Try bb's fix, it worked for friends of mine, the only fix that worked for me was to upgrade my gpu. Try and get some work out of ubisoft. I honestly dont know man
