Trying to use the editor/trainer that was updated today, and I'm not able to get it to open. (Windows 8) I open the file and it says "Click to Start Program" and I press OK, then it appears to be trying to execute a .tmp file, and Windows prompts me to choose a program to open the .tmp file with.
The original Steam trainer worked great for me if that helps.
I boot up the trainer (running as admin) and it starts up just fine. Then I open up AC3 through uPlay and that works just fine. Once I get to the main screen of AC3 and hit F1 AC3 locks up on me and kicks me to the desktop saying it has crashed.
that depends on what AV you have, you will likely have to figure that out for yourself via google or software manufacturer's website. you could just uninstall the AV to troubleshoot and reinstall at a later time.

Please read the trainer troubleshooting guide Link, it's posted there because IT WORKS with 95% of peoples' trainer problems. Most common problems are: trainer version not matching game version; AV/security software interfering with trainer, causing game to crash.
wow did it really take me 4 minutes to post this? *feels dumb*
