Earlier I tried using the editor for Orange weapons at the slots using my level 35 Mecro and it was giving me level 30 weapons. I finally figured out you have to be in TVHM to get weapons at your current level then you can exit, save game and return to normal mode with your upgraded weapons. Just a FYI

It depends on the level of the story line quest that is active at that moment. If you want level 50 legendaries from the slot, wait until you are at or have beaten the Warrior on TVHM.
