if your in the ice world 1 then use wing sheild on his attacks and then wait for the explosive crates to come down and walk into them make shure they get next to red so that they damage him

l8ter on he will have laser beams that come out. You have to jump over the first and follow the others. If you don't want to use the wing sheild, (he might torch you) just run circles around him, just far enough from his tail so he won't whip you, he can't hit you with the ice ball thigies cause they will go over you and he's not fast enough to hit you, if you slow down, then he can turn and hit you. hope this helps if you hav'nt figured it out already cause it took me 3 days...
