If you had actually read the above posts, you would've seen Pwizard stating that there are Anti-cheat triggers in the Steam version of the game. Some have stated that downloading a no-CD exe will fix the problem.
I used the Fairlight 1.1 no-dvd patch and while the trainer works and doesn't crash, my mouse will not work. Using the arrow keys will still move the camera around, but the mouse won't move the camera for me unless I go back to using the original .exe and steam file.

Same for me, but the writings such as "Start", "Options", "Exit"...are gone and similarly in-game.
