well just finished the game on classic mode. over all impressions. I enjoyed the game and new look but conflicted on how short it was. i mean really? for those of us that played the classic xcom apocalypse game or any of the others. you could raid also could control the interceptors and have more then 1 base. Once again i did enjoy the new game and over all look but they could improve a lot of basics that made xcom so fun. 1 make it a lot longer . U had to research the other demission and vehicles and then u had to go into the other demission to destroy them? also could control the interceptors? also the old classic game was much longer. Please tell me what you think of the game? I just don’t really know if it is worth the money I spent?

i think the same... The game feel so restricted on what to do except the base, missions! More bases to eliminate and also the ability to place bases in regions!

    MORE FREEDOM TO THE GAMERS!!!

you also had the possibility to have soo many UFOs to shoot down at same time and missions to go to, Here you canonly do 1 mission, and that it!

While some DLC will be nice to have, a mission creator is what is really needed for the community.

I just typed up a huge long post about liking the game, and it disappeared when I hit submit...

I love it. Best XCOM game/clone since the original.

I thought it was rather short and linear, the research tree limited. When I started building that facility I was getting all giddy thinking about how those floors of excavated goodness would look when the aliens attacked the base. Well, that never happened.

    And only 1 Alien Base?!

I don't mind having a single base to focus on though, and I liked the graphics.

Afterwards, I went back and played the original XCOM, as well as the UFO: Afterblabla remakes. Puts things into contrast to see how far we've come graphics-wise. On the other side, the storyline and involvement has been dumbed down over the years, one can see that in many games.

I liked the graphics and the cutscenes, missed the overwhelming scope of this game. They were just holding my hand, leading me through to the end. I never felt overwhelmed by an ET invasion.
The one really annoying thing was the mission brief, that was always a "metropolitan area" or "sparsely populated". Yes, I've heard that 20 times already, stop talking!

And they have little reason to make the second game underwater, which would be cool with today's graphics. Still, there's nothing else in this genre, so I'll get it.

I'm going to try Xenonauts soon.
