XCOM: Enemy Unknown Message Board  

So I just played about 3 solid hours, and hadn't saved in a while. I got to an escort mission, same ol' same ol'. However, once I cleared all of the aliens, including the ones that showed up after reaching the VIP, I hit a ****ing bug ><

The aliens' turn was over in an instant, since there weren't any aliens. The first character it switched me to automatically popped up the Overwatch option without me even clicking on it. I clicked the unit to Dash, which auto-moved me onto the next unit...and I couldn't do anything. Couldn't click on any abilities, use any keys, press ESC, nothing at all. Music still played, units still did their little idle animations, but I had no control over anything.

I wasn't using the trainer at the time, so I know it wasn't that. I just lost 3 hours of freaking playtime because of this ><

erm... there is an auto save.

check your load game, it might be at the start of the ground mission though, so unless you spend 3 hours on a ground mission all is not lost.

Rofl. So yes, there is an Auto-Save, but it's not enabled by default. Just found that out, and turned it on. Won't run into this issue again. Thanks for that, had no idea lol. Still lost all my work, but I'll just take that as a sign that I need to take a break.

haha yeah I lost like 2-3 hours too.

Was doing an escort mission. Moved everyone to the escort zone..

The mission didnt complete so figured I had to abort to carry the dude to safety..


No turns out i just had to move him one square to the left... Mission aborted PANIC PANIC Spread, Mission FAILED,

Reload..... 2-3 hours before. So Sad... I cry myself to sleep that night... (and every night since)
