Have some greenhorn questions here...
I just picked up the full package on steam, seemed like a deal, keyword seemed. Anyhow, I've read this lengthy thread all the way through and it seems there have been some issues and sore spots in the discussions. Especially with steam (which figures). I don't want to add to that aggravation, I'm just looking for some guidance, and if I can't get it work so be it. No problem.
So... You'll have to forgive me but I'm kind of a novice with this whole trainer thing... not to sound like the complete trainer n00b I am but where exactly do I place the unzipped version of the trainer to get it to work? Last time I used a trainer was Dawn of War so I'm rusty as hell and didn't see it in the Read Me file. But I could be blind, which comes with age.
I do have the latest patch of the game and matching trainer and DLC. Any help, guidance or direction to where to find this info is greatly appreciated.
And also, where can I find this editor everyone talks about and is it worth getting?
Thanks all.
1, Revert back to IE9
2, Tell your Security software to ignore the trainer or just turn it off.
3. Run the trainer and steam in admin mode.
I find the editor to be better in this game than the trainer. But still run the editor in Admin mode. Follow the instructions carefully. That come with the trainer.
Have IE9
Security set to ignore
Ran both in Admin
Nothing happened. Hit F1 at the main menu, but I do not get the 'Trainer activated' voice over. Where should I DL the file too, Steam Apps / Common / Xcom ? Someplace else or is it unimportant?
Thanks in advance.
Does not matter where you have it located as all my trainers and editors are in my docs/my trainers folder. They all work fine from there. Can I ask are you using the trainer or the editor?
