I have recently encountered a problem, please help.
When I start the trainer, it says 'Trainer Activated' When I press an option key it says 'Activated' If I then press the add value button (NUM+), it says nothing About 3 seconds after pressing the initial option button e.g. Modify Health, the trainer says 'Deactivated', followed immediately by two calls of 'Activated', but the soldier's heath has not been filled back up. Similar results come from modifying the number of fire rockets on my Heavy class soldiers. I am running Windows and always run the trainer in 'Administrator' mode. I play XCOM through Steam, but have never had this problem before. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.
P.S. If anyone thinks this is a rant or that I have something against this trainer, you are wrong. CH, PWiz and everyone at CH are the best at bringing the advantage in games back towards the player.

the instructions are pretty specific about how this works.. the way you are describing what you do doesn't sound like you are doing it right.. we have 1000's of people using the trainer, so it works..
As always, it's best to make several SAVES along the way in long, strategic games like this. That way you can reverse or revert back to previous saves if you want to undo changes you made to units.
The developers have added steam anti-cheat triggers to this game. Likely they did this to try and stop online cheating. At any rate, the instructions on how to use this trainer are slightly different.
The following options are to be used with the Add Value and Subtract Value and Super Value options (below). You need to be in the action portion of the game.
Make sure that you press the option key BEFORE you tab to the unit you want to affect. For instance, press the Modify Health option and you will hear 'Activated', and then press TAB to move to the next unit. Wait for the sound 'Deactivated'. The currently selected unit's values will be shown in the inventory they have and you can press F1 to see the attributes like Offense and Health values. Next, press one of the keys (Numpad 1 through Numpad 8) to select the item to modify. Next, press either the Add Value, the Subtract Value, or the Super Value key to modify the value. For instance, if the unit has Grenades and you want to add a grenade, press Numpad 5 and then press Numpad + to add a grenade. If you want the unit to have a massive amount of Health, press Numpad 1 and then Numpad *. You may have to Tab away and back to the unit to see it has changed. Likely these will remain at the level you set until the end of the mission, and then they will reset. If the unit isn't equipped with the item that the option modifies, then likely the option won't work. For instance, trying to give a unit Medkits when the unit isn't equipped with them or for them won't work. If you want to affect a different unit, you will have to press the key that will affect the unit and then tab to the unit you wish to affect before it says 'Deactivated'.
Numpad 1: Modify Health - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 2: Modify Offense - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 3: Modify Defense - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 4: Modify WillPower - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 5: Modify Grenades - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 6: Modify Fire Rockets - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 7: Modify Shredder Rockets - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify Numpad 8: Modify Medkits - use with Numpad +,-,* to modify
Numpad 9: Add Money - while you are in the Base portion of the game, press this key to add more money. You may have to enter a section or purchase something to see it has increased.
Use the following options with the above Numpad 1 through Numpad 8 options as well as the below Numpad 0 through ] Key options to affect the values. For Super Value, this will set the value to 1000. Press Super Value again, and the value resets to 1. As stated before, Press the appropriate key FIRST before using these keys. It's probably best not to give yourself 1000 grenades and rockets. The maximum Barracks Rank you can have is 7.
Numpad +: Add Value Numpad -: Subtract Value Numpad *: Super Value
The following options are to be used with the Add Value and Subtract Value and Super Value options (above). While in the Base portion of the game, Enter the Barracks and then click VIEW SOLDIERS. Press the option key you wish to use to affect a soldier and you will hear 'Activated'. Next, Select a soldier before you hear 'Deactivated'. You can also press the option and then push one of the arrow keys below a soldier if you are already viewing a soldier. Just keep in mind that you PRESS THE OPTION KEY and hear 'Activated' and then need to select the soldier you wish to affect before you hear the 'Deactivated'. Then you can use the other options to affect the value for the soldier. At this point you will need to press eithe the Add Value, the Subtract Value, or the Super Value key to modify the value. For instance if you want to increase the Rank of the unit, press the [ Key and then press Numpad +. Once you have set these values, if you SAVE your game, these values likely will become PERMENANT, so make sure you have them where you want them and correct. You may have to swap to a different unit and come back to see that the changes have occurred.
, Key: Add Engineers - Before you use this option, make sure you are at a Base. Also, you need to make sure you are already building at least ONE item. From the main Base screen, press the ENGINEERING tab. Next press the option key and then press ESC to leave the engineering to add more. If you add too many, the trainer will reset you back to 5. You may have to go back into the engineering bay and back to see it has increased.
. Key: Add Scientists - Before you use this option, make sure you are at a Base. From the main Base screen, press the RESEARCH tab Next press the option key and then press ESC to leave the research bay to add more. If you add too many, the trainer will reset you back to 5. You may have to go b
I can safely say that after the 5 years I've been here, this is the only trainer that's ever really given me problems.
I've tried normally, and as Administrator, and I get the exact same result.
First, I confirmed the trainer's working by having it add money, which it did successfully.
Then I attempted to alter solder stats in the barracks:
- Clicked on the 'Barracks' button in the base screen = Saw the Barracks option menu, (View soldiers, OTS, hire, etc).
- Clicked on 'View Soldiers' = Got the list of my soldiers.
- Pressed 'Numpad 0' (Health) = Hear "Activated"
- Clicked on one of my soldiers = Shows the profile of that soldier.
- Pressed 'Numpad +' (Add value) = Nothing happens, even with repeated pressing. After a couple of seconds I hear "Deactivated"
- Pressed 'Numpad +' = Head "activated" on each press.
- Changed a different soldier and then changed back, values unchanged.
Also, while viewing a soldier in the barracks:
- Pressed '[' (rank) = Hear "Activated"
- Pressed the arrows on the bottom to change to a different soldier, the pressed 'Numpad +' = Changes to different soldier, but no changes. After a few seconds, I hear "Deactivated"
- Pressed 'Numpad +' = Hear "Activated", but no changes occur.

Is not first time to use trainer. With older versions never have problems. Latest not working during combat. Maybe is problem in OS, Steam version or something else. My OS is Windows 8 Pro x64, Steam is latest build (25 Mar 2013), and XCOM is original latest version.
