The main reason I wanted this trainer for was the money, and if I take the advice of some others to use Cheat Engine, then why am I an unlimited member?

True, you could also do soemthinglike use the editor to grant large # of an item and sell it on the grey market like others have said.
As others have already said there is already solution for money. Just use the editor. Go to the Gray Market, activate editor, sell one of every item, save and close out of both editor and game.
This way you have 99999 of every item and can now sell as many items as you want to get as much money as you want.
Cripes. I have half a mind to just create a savegame at the start of every difficulty with a truckload of money and just upload it here. Then the lazy bastards who are too ignorant to fix this crap on their own with the TONS of posts spelling it out step by step will forever be able to start a game with a ton of money and never have this issue again.
But then I'd be catering to the lazy, and they'd still complain. Sigh.
Chalk up another who can't get the money cheat to work. Tried everything listed in this forum and it did not work.
Would be annoyed, but all the other functions work. I figure instead of buying superior equipment I'll just buff my troops up to superman.
I'm in agreement with the admin, Caliber I think. The money feature is a headache to get to work and a lot of people are complaining. It may be less stressful just to remove it from the trainer, for now, until it can be made to work reliably. The other features make up for the fact that you can't get infinite amounts of moneys.
I'm also having a problem with the money not working. But its not a game killer. I will just play and wait. I have an idea. Why not do like they used to do with the old X-COM games and make a save game editor. I have all of them on steam and use the SGE's all the time.
