I played borderlands on the xbox360 and have borderlands2 on PC.
In effort to gain the perks of having a borderlands 1 save I searched and found one.

    I planted the save in "C:\Users\*USERNAMEHERE*\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\SaveData"

In an effort to fool BrL2. It didn't work. 🤔

So my question is...Is there a way to fool the game and get that content?

Download and save a character file from somewhere on the internet ?

I would say it didn't work because PC-BL2 didn't recognize the Xbox-BL file, as mentioned above just download a PC-BL file from somewhere on the internet. Shouldn't be too hard.

I have a borderlands 1 PC save file.

    I planted the save in "C:\Users\*USERNAMEHERE*\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\SaveData"

Thing is I don't really have borderlands one on the PC.

So Boarderlands2 says It can't find the content.

I am wondering if its a "Steam" issue since borderlands 1 isn't in my steam profile? I made the path myself to be clear without having borderlands installed.

Only reason I mention xbox is because I didn't buy the pc version of the original. Sorry for any confusion.

I built the path, created a borderlands folder\in it made a SavaData folder and dropped the save in there.

My hope being borderlands2 would look there for the save. It still tells me the save can't be found.

So is it possible to fool it? Or would I have to have borderlands 1 from steam for the extra content?

Your making it a whole lot more complicated then what it really is :3. You do not have to have steam version of Borderlands, you just need to have your borderlands save folder that holds the save next to the Borderlands 2 save folder in the folder "My Games".
Wait...there was supposed to be something here!?
