Does any of you have a savegame where a timer runs out? My Borderlands 2 editor is nearly complete and I heard this timer feature was requested, so i'd like to add this option if possible.
You can send the savegame via email: 0x90.mail[at]gmail.com

I didnt see any timer used in the main quest, but i know some timer exists in some side quests, it showed 2.50 time on screen but it never counted down, maybe some others have a save of it though
hmm now that i think of it the only timer i have seen is with the second life thing when you are about to die you need to kill quick a monster in a shown time frame

The timer starts as soon as you begin the actual objective, before then it's paused as to not make you rush right when the quest is accepted, time is also given for each objective you complete and with the trainer it's fairly easy to speed through the different stages with more than enough time due to this, usually ending with more time than you had when the quest began.
Still being able to freeze the time system completely wouldn't be bad but I think they said they wouldn't add any more options to the trainer in the main thread for the game.
