There is this neat little thing called VERSION NUMBER. How about you check it before asking us to reinstall a 20GB game just to see if it patched or not?
My file version (1.0.28.42246) hasn't changed, but I do wonder about all the hot fixes GBX has been putting out, and how that could affect us.
As a result, I'm sticking with the Editor and running in offline mode as much as possible.

I start trainer then start game and when the main menu comes up, I hit F1 then I click continue. This is when the game crashes. I have the latest steam upgrade/hotfix. IS someone working on a hotfix for the trainer?
Strangely, I am now getting some CTD's during the Campaign of Carnage. Haven't played the Hammerlock DLC yet. I was playing it in a newer nechromancer character mode and never had an issue. Went back and played it with another character and now randomly it crashes. I am wondering if using the old character is an issue or if Steam did something different. I have the right version of the trainer for my game version.
NVidia had a driver update so I downloaded that hoping it would be the issue but alas, still crashing to desktop in Campaign of Carnage when I am entering the Forge. Didn't turn on the trainer, started the game and went to the Forge and it didn't crash with the trainer off. Saved game in the Forge and exited. Went back into B2 with the trainer on. Continued game in the Forge. Works fine playing in the Forge until I activate the trainer and then it crashes to the desktop.
No one has yet to confirm, or deny, that it could be the GBX hot fixes.

I had to run the check integrity on my steam game and afterwards it started working fine again with the trainer. Not sure if this will help anyone or not. Also not to seem like a total dumb *ss but where do I look to see what version of the game I am running? I have tried everything and cannot find that.

Your Borderlands2 Application file version (Borderlands2.exe) needs to be the same as the Trainer version, as you probably know.
That last Borderlands2 is the .exe file. You can hover your mouse over it, or right click it and then click properties, in order to see the file version (which is different from the product version, by the way).
