Experiencing the same issue here-- I can activate the trainer once I'm in the game, but if I say, turn on infinite ammo and start shooting, the game freezes and gives an exception.
Latest patch on 1/9/13 brought the game version to 1.0.28.42246 for those of you wondering why the latest trainer update is not working for you. Apparently they patched the game twice today.
I'm sure His Supreme Awesomeness Caliber and his vast army of minions is on it and will have an updated trainer out to us soon.
Yeap there was another update today and there will be another next tuesday when the next dlc is out, honestly guys unless the trainer and editor are easy to alter to work with the updated versions of BL 2, you would really be better off waiting until the dlc is out before fixing the editor and trainer.

christ they sure like to patch and update the game. Cant wait for another awesome trainer and editor from caliber and the rest of the gang on cheat happens.
