X3 is about bloody running an empire to even get ships x2 was good then X3 went overboard with all sorts of nonsense while X3 is fun don't get me wrong this game is like a freelancer gof 2 was originally for ipad and co if you like freelancer : get it, if you like x3 well you got your answer way earlier and bloody hell indeed x3 aint the only spacegame out there /rant over
Well, simplified version of X3 can be a good thing; this game is easier to play when you're new to space simulator... The main quests basically tells me what to do and how. Unlike X3 I only get a flight lesson in the beginning of the game and had to learn the rest on Youtube. I would've liked X3 a lot more if it was "newb friendly."
Well guys I'd suggest keeping a lookout for a game called Star Citizen there are video's on youtube of the tech demo and its made by Chris roberts the creator of Freelancer,Starlancer and Wing Commander et al due for release around 2013/14
