Feedback, Complaints or Problems

I just recently had to do a system restore to a earlier date, things are ok now with my pc but when I try to run Empire Total War trainer for patch #13 1.5/1.6 I get a pop up error that says "Could not create HELP.TXT file." followed by this trainer requires a internet connection etc etc. Well my pc is hooked up the internet and I am using it right now. I looked through all the trainer troubleshooter suggestions but couldn't find anything to help me with this.

I am currently using Vista home premium and AVG free edition which is temp turned off while I tried to use the trainer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Completely uninstall AVG and right click run as admin on trainer.

Thanks Pwiz for writing back. I uninstalled AVG, restarted my pc and still get the same problem. I downloaded a new copy of the trainer which worked fine before my pc issues but now I cant get it to work.

I know your busy but would you know any other things I could do to fix this issue??

Not really, something on your PC is blocking or interfering with the trainer. Probably security software or OS permissions. I downloaded and ran your personalized trainer on my Windows 8 machine and it worked with no problem.

Damn, well Im not smart enough to figure out how to change permissions etc so I guess a complete flush of my pc is in the near future. I appreciate you taking the time to try and help me out.

Sorry for necro posting but were you ever able to figure this out? My computer has just started giving me the HELP.txt error message, and I'm about to tear my hair out trying to figure it out
