You may have a point with the 'monetizing cheats' thing. It looks like they have a, and let me emphasize here, -PAID DLC- that does nothing but give you EXP points for the different skill sets. That's literally it, and apparently there's also a 'second' pack that does the same exact thing.
"Boost your Cop, Face and Triad Experience Points to earn respect fast and gain new abilities. Gives you 5,500 Triad, 3,000 Cop and 3,000 extra Face Experience Points. For the ultimate upgrade combine with the Top Dog Gold Pack."
Just... Seriously? I mean, the game is fun. Lots of fun. But this kind of stuff really shouldn't be acceptable, especially if they're adding in pointless cheat detection methods for a -SINGLE PLAYER- game.
They're doing it because the trainer would neutralize any want for a DLC that simply gives you levels.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The tools may be more effective than those who battled before you, but make no mistake, you are no less a barbarian than your ancestors with their clubs and rocks. The only difference now, is you do it without honor. Cowering behind your guns, your bombs. You don't use tactic, just force..."
I understand that's why they implemented the anti-cheats and everything, of course. What I mean is that it really shouldn't be acceptable to actually force people to pay for cheats that give experience and such for a singleplayer game, and making it so it's incredibly hard to cheat themselves just so that they have to pay to make the game easier. That, and stuffing it with all this unnecessary 'community' crap...
It's just more than a little bit frustrating, you know? Bah, I loathe the entire idea of "Single Player Plus" games.
