I've designed a few, ive found my design in the planet view build menu, but now what ? i have a medium dock and ive designed a mk2 battleship, not sure if that helps.

Did you save the design? If not then it won't show on the list.

If you can see that your ship design is showing up in the build menu under the ships list option, click and drag the ship you want to build onto any of your shipyards in the white circle slots in the lower middle part of the planet menu [the same one that has the ships list] and then they will appear in the build queue.

Design the ship, save it, go to the planet you want to build on. go to the planet construction menu.

Take the ship design you see in your planet build menu tab and click on it and drag it into your shipyard icon (got to have a ship yard built and have the right sized shipyard for it to work, you are gonna need a bigger ship yard for a battleship) and it should pop up in the build queue.

Same thing for designing ships, you must drag the hull onto the main screen from your available hull options on the left hand side of the screen... no idea why they would not just make that clicked on hull pop right up 🤔

You also need to have free officers to man the ship

You need to use a Large Dock to build a battleship.
