Good evening everyone. I posted this question in the Darksiders II forum, but I'm not sure how much love those forums get. But.. I am kinda "forced" to buy Darksiders II from Gamestop due to a swath of gift cards I got from there. Unfortunately, Gamestop only carries the game via digital download (which I pickup the code in the store) and NOT a hard copy. So I am forced to use their digital download service.
My question is - will any of the cheat trainers that will be released for this game on this site, work for the digital download version from Gamestop? Many thanks!

Unless someone has that version and has tested it, you won't get a concrete answer. Most games trained use the retail version when available so the most compatible version would be the retail version. This may be an issue you should address to GameStop about being able to request a physical (retail) copy of your game instead of being stuck with their digital service.

Yea, I've been questioning Gamestop about it, and they're just against physical copies of games for the PC; except games like World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, etc.

If u r lucky the Digital and Retail Versions will be the same, but no one will know until we look at the game code or until the trainers r released and people start giving some feedback

Okay, cool. Thank you for your replies. I've got a lot of in-store credit, plus the gift cards, so I'm not paying anything for the game.
Has anyone every used a trainer for a game that was downloaded digitally from Gamestop and have it succeeded? Any game?

Its beyond me why Gamestop is still in business?. They are such a shady and controversial company. They abused my card information by charging me for a bunch of stuff i never signed up for. Ill never do business with them again and know a lot of gamers that they ripped off too.
