Just checked this site out there price for darksouls is cheap as chips 29.95 pounds=57nz dollars same game on steam 69.95us=86.50nz Cant argue with that

But you also get to collect blue coins with purchases, reviews, scoring a game out of 5 stars, helping people out... when you have enough blue coins you can buy games with them also.
So not only are you saving cash, you are also getting more for free also.
And if you are in the States, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland you can use VOID to get games for free by viewing ads as they download (obviously not at top speed but hey its still free but not all titles of course).
