Cloud gaming is the end of posession to anything of a game. No control if the game would be retired. Probably no posibilities to downgrade a game's version if needed and no or bad modding possiblities. I hate EA and Blizzard because of the "be-always-on-policy" and OnLive is the exact same thing. I have enough space for any games on my HD and your expensive hardware is not limited to games.
"Sign our petition to show the cloud gaming companies like OnLive that more users will sign up for their service"
So I won't sign this petition.

Seriously, that is like ignoring cancer and hoping that it will go away. I hate cancer it, so I will not have anything to do with it. Really! This is about accepting a reality and trying to preserve a portion of gaming that many of us have enjoyed since its dawn. I agree in that I fear that "cloud" gaming is the end of possession. However, if we are truly passionate about having some control over the things we purchase we need not discount those efforts that mean to appease and retain some level of control. However, the two means of addressing the issue are not mutually exclusive. Just because you attempt to adapt to a "possible" future does not mean that you can not at the same time fight to insure that same future never comes to fruition. Cloud gaming could ultimately fail miserably because of the lack of control gamers have over its contents. Take arcades for existence; how many of them did you see around twenty years ago and how many do you see now. They are few and far between ultimately because the user demanded some sense of ownership. We pay, therefore we are part owner... we are not just renters. If we make a significant stand we can control how the gaming industry operates. Refrain from purchasing OnLive goods, but demand that those who do purchase those goods obtain control over that which they purchase. I must add though, if you intend to boycott OnLive and its counterparts... do so with the utmost fervor and encourage all those that you know to take part in the boycott. The only way to stop a giant is via the power en masse.
I signed the petition, but have absolutely no plans on ever purchasing OnLive products as long as they insist that the user has no ownership over their purchase.

The Admiral is so right,it all comes down to PEOPLE POWER,if people would boycott these studio's who is hell bent on not allowing the end user to use the game in his own home, as he or her thinks fit, (as long as its not cheating on-line)once you have purchased the game it should be yours!
Its not on RENTAL,but these games may as well be,its a very slippery road these studio's are going down, and game players are getting rather Hissed off at the attitude of these studio's.
