Stream opens on some games I have , but not with this game. It opens with something called Social Club. So what are the thousnds of people that downloaded from Amazon supposed to do?
of course, us retail need to wait for an updated no-cd fix to be released, if they release one. I was over joyed that the retail wasnt steam, i dont like 3rd party useless programs running in the background, but i wish i had bought the steam version now. Its annoying that the one of the few times i legitimately buy a game, and i have to apply a no-cd crack to play ; P

Yoda, all you really need to know is that the game launches with an executable, "MaxPayne3.exe". There are many versions of this. The Steam version is slightly different to the Retail version which might be slightly different to the version you downloaded from Amazon.
You need the right trainer for your version and, currently, the CH guys have stated they're only creating trainers for the retail version and the Steam version of the game.

Also; Social Club is a Rockstar thing. It tracks game progress and helps you keep in touch with friends. It doesn't have anything to do with what version of the game you have, or how the game launches in regards to a trainer.
Seems to be some confusion, the version that uses the Rockstar Social Club for updating IS the retail version. I installed straight out of the box, it automatically updated through Social Club, none of the current trainers work, same crash issue as described.
I noticed that with the No Damage option on The Machine Gunner from the office mission wouldn't die no matter where I shot him in fact we stood there riddling each other with bullets to no avail.

I've got the retail version trainer working with the latest update... went to one of "those" sites and downloaded the update and 1.0.0.17 exe/crack, disconnected internet before starting, and the trainer is working just fine. You might even be able to get away with just copying the exe over but I didn't try that.
