First im a computer hardware noobie. I've just placed a ssd drive in raid config into my acer predator. I've had to take a hot swap bay away for this. I have put in another pci raid card for the extra sata ports. On boot with harddrive plugged into card, the computer will not boot as it says it cant find drive. Any help?
A single SSD drive works best in AHCI mode, not in raid mode.
If in raid mode you will need to install windows directly to it so that you can load its raid driver so it will be recognisable to boot from.

Hi Guys!,
Problem solved, faulty pci card!, brought it back hit them on the head and voila, working like a beast. Thanking you squire DABhand!!!
Hope it works for you, make sure to read my SSD thread in the general section also, to see how to get the best out of your SSD drive.
Also for future reference, putting a drive into raid mode by itself won't make it go faster, raid mode is only good for one thing, daisy chaining other drives in an array.
