Server locked with online auctions so the likely-hood of intentional cheats built in is very low. I would skip the trainer as well to ensure you don't get your account banned from the game. Even using the trainer in single-player mode will give a speed advantage and that can turn into more loot for the auctions so once they find those accounts chances of a ban are pretty high.
Good find. I found in other titles that sometimes extra files are needed to enable these cheats. Now that you spiked my attention, it's time to check out where that line is written and most interesting WHY. Reason would be a BOOL or a combination of BOOLs. Will return with feedback, stay tuned.
