Eh, kinda. I'm pretty sure I'm an agnostic at this point. I've had my ups and downs in life (mostly ups now, but growing up, I had mostly downs). As a kid I considered myself to be a Christian because my mom is. Long story short, I lived a troubled life, and I lost my faith, though a sudden upturn of good these past couple of years has made me wonder.

Well there is no "evidence" for or against the existance of a god or god(s).
So that is where the "faith" comes in.
Personally I don't believe.
In any case I think the really interesting question is WHY people believe. Even with no direct physical evidense.
I think I am rather anti-religion though. Not because people should belive the same as me or xyz should be banned. Not like that but because I think that while ancient books and scripture can serve as an inspiration to how we live. I'd much rather prefer it if each individual made up his/her own mind on how to live eg. morally.
Too many religions on this planet, which one is the real one if a God/s exists? None of them.
Should it be the earliest recorded religion that is the real one? You can't do that either.
So why do people champion their faiths? Because they are afraid of the unknown of death. They don't want to believe a final ending of nothing, no sight, no memories, no feelings.
Scary yes.
But if the world would finally see this as the truth and religions only exist as a comfort then perhaps needless fights and wars would stop also, because lets be honest a high percentage of all wars conducted on this planet has been based on religion.

Personally I don't mind that the end is becoming worm/plant food. Theres a certain circle of life thing to it. I actually like that better than reincarnation or afterlife.
