With League of Legends becoming such a popular online game, I'm surprised to only see one topic here on CHU's League of Legends forum. Does anyone actually play the game here? I'd been told about the game by a few friends in high school, but because my computer at home was so old and slow, I didn't want to download a game that would, perhaps, tax its systems more than it already was. However, I'm now nearing the end of my freshman year of college, and at the beginning of the year, a couple of my hallmates introduced me to this game. Since then, I've been playing on and off with two different accounts. They're both nearing level 30 (one is 29 and the other is 27), and I'm probably going to be playing ranked once I hit level 30 on my level 27 account. If anyone else plays this game here, I'd like to know. I've got quite a few friends from my personal life and from online that I tend to queue up with because I don't like the idea of getting four random players. Otherwise, I guess this topic will just sit here and make me look like a loner.

you will probably sit here and be a loner ^_^ anyway you shouldn't do ranked until you get a full rune page ^_^ while runes dont make much of a difference stat wise since the numbers are so low but when you play with a full rune page vs without, the different is...overwhelming.. especially crit/ap rune sets tank dont really have much of an effect lol unless you have hp regen on riven or something along the lines and ad runes are mostly for effective jungling at the start
Yeah, it appears so. Oh well, I wasn't expecting much of a response from a dead board anyways. Yeah, I'm well aware of the fact that runes are a small, yet important, boost to my gameplay, and I have already finished one full runepage (for AD carry, which is my main role). I'm hoping to get a rune page for jungler (though the AD carry runes work quite well on the jungler), as well, but it'll take some time to save up the IP for the entire thing. I'm still gonna do ranked on my second account regardless because
a) I don't really care about its stats. b) I want to improve.
I've spoken with a friend of mine that's gotten incredibly good at the game (he's peaking at around 1950 elo), and he told me the way he got so good was just playing ranked over and over. At first, you get your ass handed to you, but after playing for a long time, you begin to understand matchup advantages/disadvantages, and you're able to adjust your playstyle. Furthermore, as (mainly) the AD carry, I'm going to find that my positioning and farming will improve over time. As the AD carry probably needs the best positioning of any of the roles, I would hope so.

this game is especialy fun ... hope it never gets hacked and never dies ... do wish they released that giant map they were promising a year ago the volcano one that was gonna be so big it had waypoints u could use to teleport across map...only way to improve your game is to learn the classes and well play the game
I would Imagine that most of the people use the official forums for posting things about LOL. I tried playing it for a few weeks but I'm more of a loner type and can't really get into it. Seems really repetitive also.
