I'm with Admiral, just ask. However, do it at a random time during the day when she'll wonder why you're asking but won't connect it to the fact you say it every night. Also ask how to say a couple more phrases too, then put sweet dreams in the middle.
You could also then wait a few days before using it, so she'll (hopefully) have forgotten you'd asked.
