I think I preferred April Fools jokes played by the big companies online, like Google, when you knew it was a joke because of the date, but it was done in a way which still made you question whether it was actually a joke or it was real.
Still, it's a great nostalgic joke.

It's based on the Dragon Quest series. I've never actually played a Dragon Quest (thought I do mean to buy myself DQV for the DS, but it's hard to find and ridiculously expensive) but they've got monsters throughout the map. A Dragon Quest fan would probably get more enjoyment out of this awesomeness than the rest of us.

It's great how they're selling the Kindle Fire even though it's not even available here. Plus the fact that the network the Fire uses also isn't available outside of the US, it's even more daft.
Sorry, got a bit off topic there.
Back on topic. THQ's announcement is more a good example of what I like. They announced a new DLC this morning, but it makes you actually wonder if it's real. On the one hand it sounds like exactly the kind of DLC they'd make for SR3, but on the other hand... well, it's the 1st of April.
And apparently AdBlock thinks it's funny to, instead of blocking ads, replacing them with pictures of cats. It was funny at first, but now it's getting kinda creepy... they're watching me wherever I go...
