Glitches and lags Mult.

    Is anyone else having problems with the mult. player lagging up so much, unable to purchase and lose the credits? I mean they ruined the main game with the stupid endings and now they are ruining the mult. player with these stupid glitches.

    I believe this is being talked about on the Bioware main Community channel. I believe they are looking into it. But how long it will take I am not sure.

    Yeah the issues are with the cheap a$$ database servers they use at EA not handling the load. Its particularly bad during early evening USA time, they've implemented a fix so you don't lose items from BIOWARE points purchases (you should get them on a subsequent login) but credits gone they don't seem to care about :<

    I don't believe the problem is EA (for once). The trouble is that MP has been far more successful and popular than either BioWare or EA could have predicted, so the servers they have set up probably can't handle the amount of data being thrown at them, resulting in lagging and glitches.

    In terms of a real life scenario, imagine 5 lanes of heavy vehicle traffic trying to get through a 2 lane junction.

    Why do people always say things they have no first hand information about.

    Nothing wrong with the database servers at all, and they are not cheap.

    They have several Dual Xeon 5620 servers, 24GB ram each, with a SAS15K RAID10, more than capable of handling mass connections. Infact the servers are better than Blizzards WoW world/map servers.

    The main problem from the lag is from the bandwith available which isn't unlimited.

    Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA
