So who's going to replay the game since we know what the ending is like.
I'm thinking about it, as I fired up ME1 and well thinking about it I really didn't need to play through it again as you make decisions at the beginning of ME2 if you start a new game.
I was thinking about replaying ME3 without importing my ME2 save game.
Has anyone did this, does it change anything throughout the game? (I know it doesn't effect the ending..lol)
Anyone going to go through the game again in preparation for the rumored DLC?

I am going to be replying it Heck I did it with Deus Ex.
The first playthrough i attempted (bout 6 hours of it), i started with the thought that it might have the 'choose what happened' like ME2. It didn't, Default= Dead Wrex (on virmire) Collectors Base was not destroyed And a bunch others, including a lot of little things like saving doctor michel, and not losing a large number of crew and your squad at end of me2. From my PoV Pick the last ME2 save you were happy with and if theres anything you want to change do it via the me2 save editor. Also try and include the dlc's from me2 if you can and the asteroid one in me1 (dunno bout pinnacle station).
Unfortunately, as you know, it doesn't matter if your character is the best thing to hit the galaxy's military, or a shoot-first-ask-later **** poor military commander who'd just like to get drunk, the ME3 ending will disregard it all.
Already playing through my second time. I imported my ME3 Shep.
Two things I don't like though. The first is that you get a lot of things carried over - your level/powers/XP, your Paragon/Renegade points, all of your weapons and mods, all of the armour you've found/bought, etc etc, but you get absolutely no war assets bonus for doing a NG+. I hoped you'd get at least a small TMS bonus, maybe 500 for the Alliance or something.
The second is that you get a lot of things carried over. The fact that you get all of your weapons and mods carried over, your fish and models, and your armour, means that money is practically useless. The only things left to buy are the weapon level upgrades, and you get a lot of those for free when you find the weapons again through the game (you'll start with whatever level you ended with - so if you had Revenant V, you'll get that, then when you find the Revenant in the story again, you'll get a free upgrade to VII or more). Unfortunately some of the upgrades aren't even worth it. I'm only at Tuchanka and I'm a very rich Shep. I could buy the entire Galaxy and throw it at the Reapers at the moment.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remember the good old days when you could just slap Omni-Gel on everything?" - Shepard, ME2
"Not right now. Trying to determine how Scale Itch got aboard. Sexually transmitted disease carried only by Varren..... Implications unpleasant." - Mordin, ME2
I've already beaten it twice. Working on a third game now. I've got 6 games total I need to beat, that I started from the Mass Effect (1).
I don't care for the ending, but the experience before it is amazing. The game is still very much playable, plus the multi-player is a decent side-track.
So far I beat it as a Paragon Engineer and Renegade Infiltrator. Working on a Paragon Biotic, just met Jack from ME2.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The tools may be more effective than those who battled before you, but make no mistake, you are no less a barbarian than your ancestors with their clubs and rocks. The only difference now, is you do it without honor. Cowering behind your guns, your bombs. You don't use tactic, just force..."
Does it matter? Its not like Witcher 1 or 2 where a single sentence can place in on a different level or change the whole story of an NPC that you may never see him/her. Its not like your in-game relationship or crappy sex scene is gonna get better. In all departments, the game is a full-fledged failure.
I played it twice, now I wish I had rent it. Got PC version. And I'm probably gonna sell it to a friend or on ebay.
