banshee has invulnerable barrier

I was just coming on here to post about this issue. It definitely happens. Even if there are no nodes nearby.

I have encountered this as well only it is not invincible. It shows up almost like a two layered bar where one purple is darker than the other. I have had it happen both with the trainer option on for the shield and without. It has something to do with either one of the abilities they use or something you can use on them. I have not been able to narrow it down anymore yet, but I do know that a few shots to the head with a Widow gets rid of that barrier.

It is trainer issue. When I go into game and turn on the trainer i can kill Banshee. It's health/shields bar is dropping down but a soon as I enable Unlimited Shields option Banshee cannot be killed. Turning this option off doesn't fix this. I need to restart the game. Closing trainer doesn't help either.
I can provide savegame for this issue.

i looked into this and it didn't seem to happen to me on my machine. at any rate, i suppose it is 'possible' that the code for shields that is redirected by the trainer is shared by both the player and certain units. i already rewrote this option once to isolate the trainer option once. basically the trainer is writing a high value to the shields address. when you turn the option off, when the player takes damage the high value is reset to a normal value and then decreases. for the other NPC, perhaps the high value stays in place even when the trainer option is turned off, thus it takes forever to destroy the shield. my suggestion when things like this happen is to close the game. load from a previous autosave or perhaps a previous save (so that the normal shield value is used for the NPC) and then leave the shield option off in those few encounters that this might occur.

remember that the trainer is forcing the game to do things not intended, and that i didn't play through the entire game trying each and every combination of attacks and options on every iteration of enemy and circumstance, so there may be some circumstances where the options have unwanted side effects.

i could not replicate your problem here. we had issues where the sheild option would cause crashes in some rare circumstances that i could replicate (after a lot of trial an error) that we fixed.

those are my thoughts and suggestions.

Sadly I also faced this problem. Not even turning off the trainer changed the problem.(Banshee-shield). I think i will going to delete and trash this game, after all.( It is very repetative, and boring to shoot in the face everything what moves...)

In the past i had a weak moment ( than i registered here ), but to tell You the truth, it was one of my best decision
