Some people have experienced that with installing from media that Origin wants to download instead.
The best way to do it, install origin, get off the net and install from the disks, then connect to the net and check for updates.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Weird. My install seemed to take forever to complete, but it definitely went faster than if it was downloading.

Mine took 45minutes not inclueding the extra stuff tho. That was runing at 4.9MB note that was also coming from the disk as I was monitering my disc drive.
