its no doubt real.. theres a file with your saves games that sounds like it (found it while trying to help cal)

edit: found it each character has a NewGamePlusSave.pcsav file in the documents/bioware/masseffect3/save/(charname)

im saying look in your save files... theres a file dedicated to NEW GAME PLUS... for each character so it confirms there is a new game plus


edit: i misunderstood i thought you said you lost hope in new game plus not the ending.
