@Lizml86 -- I just finished the game a few minutes ago. I got Shep to breathe by: --1. Doing every quest I could. I'm quest driven. Been playing RPGs since dice were involved. The quests got my readiness up which is the most important thing. I missed about 5 quests in Act I, of which I had 3 ready to turn in, but Act II started and I couldn't. --2. Got every species to work together (geth+quarian)... again, goes towards Readiness. --3. Visited every system and gathered every resource I could... again, goes towards Readiness. --you should see a pattern here-- --4. I played "full" Paragon, with just a tiny, itsy-bitsy red line sitting at the bottom. --5. The ending between Illusive Man, Anderson and myself... I went Paragon again, so there was only gun shot. --6. I don't know how much this played into it, but I talked to ALL my crew after every mission (not system scan, but missions). --7. I went with killing the reapers. I was very torn between that and synth, I think in new game+ I'll go with synth, but I know Shep will be absorbed.
*In ME2 I destroyed the Collector Base. No deaths during suicide mission. Was paragon in both 1 and 2. Played all DLC in ME2 with all crew side missions (no deaths on suicide)... but I don't think dlc would have had Any impact at all on ending.
On a side note for the ending... Slowest... Walk... Ever!!! LOL

I know what you mean about that walk, I was like, the Reapers will have won by the time I get anywhere...
C'mon, just slap some medi-gel on it and get going.

Finished playing ME3 minutes ago... absolutely the most poorly written game ever. Besides the slow motion, boring & meaningless dream sequences. The ending was complete and total BS. What a complete cop out. I feel ripped off.
I'm half tempted to post every spoiler detail I can think of. including the fact that the game builds us up to care about Shepard and individual members of her crew... every single one of which (including Commander Shepard) is KILLED OFF!
Of course, the Reapers are destroyed... but by the time that happens EVERYONE we care about in the game is DEAD!
What an incredible disappointment... what a rip!
according to your choises in both the prvious games as well as this one they can ALL survive, write in youtube "mass effect 3 quarian "good ending"" and don't spoil other people's pleasure just because you are disapointed.

So my prediction about ME3 being rubbish was correct. Glad I wasn't foolish enough to be convinced to buy it.
I have not played it yet. But from what I have read people have thought it was going to be all fluffy ending like and I have watched alot of vids on it to. It seems pretty dam good to me. Am sorry that there are people do not seem to like game.

Not really. Any game has its haters, and those haters seem like the majority because they're the loudest group, drowning out anyone who dares contradict them by saying it's a good game. Most people who like/love the game are busy playing it, then rolling their eyes at and walking away from threads like these.
I'm only posting here because I have my laptop next to my PC.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remember the good old days when you could just slap Omni-Gel on everything?" - Shepard, ME2
"Not right now. Trying to determine how Scale Itch got aboard. Sexually transmitted disease carried only by Varren..... Implications unpleasant." - Mordin, ME2
Personally I though that the game was done rather well and the handling of characters such as Thane and Mordin was done amazingly well. Was never expecting a happy ending, but it's nice to see that you can get the "breathe" ending with enough war assets.
I like it. Haven't finished it yet but I'm a good ways in now.
The gameplay's improved in every single way... the reapers knocking on your doorsteps every system can get a little annoying but that's my only gameplay gripe.
Story-wise? Well, it's a matter of taste, really. The story is just a gripping as it has always been so far... I can't speak for the ending yet, but I'm going for a super-duper perfect ending with a 100% paragon, best choices available in both ME1 and 2, so it should work out.
