i have been a unlimited member for several years now, and always with great satisfaction for its fast and effective trainers.
however recently i have run into a problem. my gaming computer is for some reason unable to log in on the site. everytime it says the security code put in was not the same as the image. while codes like 1988 or cola leaves little room for error. i tried it for several days but i just dont get anywhere and frustration is rising. especially with ME3 around the corner.
the only computer that could log in was the computer at work, and im reluctant to sign out and try again at home. as i fear once i log out at my workstation im completely cut off from the site. as filing a support request has the same security code that gives me the same error as when trying to log in.
i even tried logging in with my smartphone but it gets the same error messages.
its just weird to say at least, and wondered if anyone knew what might be the reason or problem might be. and how it might be resolved.
i have the same problem.. i cant login into this site using firefox when i try to its says everytime the Security Code was Wrong i tried it about 10 times..
thanks for the tip Sordac, i tried Explorer but i had the same problem.
i now logged in from my windows 7 ultimate 64-bit system using Opera browser. i read about a user on the internet that had the same problem and she used Opera with succes. witch i followed and im online again.
Appearantly certain Captcha programs got bugs that prevent certain browsers and systems from passing the test.
this turned out to be a real tenacious problem, i cant imagine im the only one having this problem and like Sordac said he had the same issue. i tried every browser and several computers to log back in on the site that all failed.
is this Captcha security still a Beta?. i assume its not the purpose that it makes logging in nearly impossible right?. i really love being an unlimited member here but this is somewhat rediculous in my honest opinion.
we're currently looking for another captcha to replace the one we have. note that CH is attacked over 200,000 times per day, mostly hitting our login page trying to hack UNL memberships. the captcha is necessary to protect your UNL account.

@ PWizard, i fully understand that Cheathappens has to deal with the hacking. and i understand the measures that have to be taken to keep them out. and in the years i have been a member here i can only say you guys provide a great service, both with trainers and with site management.
it was only my intention to point out this captcha system has bugs/flaws that prevents members from logging in. i hope my posts and thread didnt came over offensive as i know running an active site like this takes hard work. it good to hear the Captcha-issue has your attention tough
