Basically this. Unless there are some teammates they haven't revealed yet (which would be nice actually), as far as I know your team will consist of Ashley/Kaiden, EDI, Vega, Tali, Garrus, Liara and the woman I haven't seen yet. Obviously the Prothean too, but I don't include that since he's not a "core" squad member. I should note that I don't count Liara as a returning squad mate per-se.

It seems small, but in fairness the only reason your squad was so huge in ME2 was because of the mission you were on. ME1 only had 6 squad members remember.

I'd quote the source if I could remember it, but I distinctly remember reading that only Tali and Garrus returned as squad mates (and Liara if you want to get technical), and everyone else would return in cameo roles (I'm thinking Ash/Kaiden in ME2). I'll try and find it again.

Yeah Bioware said there would be less squad members in ME3 than ME2. That is fine with me, I don't like having too many members.

After reading through the art book the developers wanted a race of beautiful, exotic, blue women. They got the idea of the scalp tentacles was to evoke a sense of women coming out of the water with wet hair.

The Turians are a birdlike race.

The Krogan were designed as a race perpetually at war. One of the first inspirations for the Krogan were bats and another inspiration were apelike creatures. They had to scrap many designs because of animation limitations.

The Salarians were the gray aliens of the universe.

Some of the first drawings of the Quarians showed me looking a lot like the Geth do. I'm glad they changed how the looked.

It's not a spoiler, but I really want to know how they've incorporated side quests and such things. I mean, there's a massive army of sentient machines invading the galaxy bent on the destruction of all sentient life... it seems difficult to justify running around picking up packages and buying fish.

Actually yeah you make a good point there. Never thought of that at all. How will it be done and how do they plan to justify it. I can see going to get your team and get the other races to help. But little side missions. Hmmmm. Not sure.

EDI wont be a squad member. But she will have a body etc, and be technically a temp squad member later in the game.

seriously...this thread needs to be outlawed. its like saying..there's a really hot girl standing behind u...but don't look ...ofcourse we're gonna look.

anyway i don't have a problem with a small squad. too many and they get in ur way.
