A little, but a lot more thinking involved. Instead of individual units, you have squadrons of vehicles, and platoons of infantry. You can split them into singles, but they're usually more effective in groups. Scouts of course are usually better off on their own. Terrain plays a -huge- role in the game. From giving cover bonuses against shooting, and actually hiding your units from view (Tanks can literally drive by infantry squads in buildings without knowing it.) and good stuff like that. Rocket artillery is a tad underwhelming and minor graphical issues are a minor issue that doesn't detract from the overall quality of a great game.
