I want to know if I'm the only one this is happening to. I'm so mad. $50/year for this headache???

I'm assuming you downloaded the maps from the marketplace, right? If so then they should be able to help you. If you downloaded it straight from MW3 (I haven't played MW3 on xbox so forgive me if this sounds stupid.) then maybe Activision might be a better idea.
