Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Message Board  

Ok, started another game and went to the college and did the quest where you find the orb in the mine. I didn't want to continue on the mages quests at that time so I went on to the misc. quests and the companions guild (fighters guild). Long story short, I went back to the college after a long pause and the orb wasn't in the college. I tried to talk to Arcano and he doesn't mention anything about the Orb, even though the other mages mention about the orb in passing. In Oblivion you could go back when you pleased so I did the same this time. I went back to Toldier (sorry if the name is wrong) in the mine where the orb is he is still there. He doesn't say a thing about what I am supposed to do, even gave me a quest for something else and I did it in hopes that it would jumpstart the quest. I am at a loss here, I am too far into the game now and I really don't need magic being I am an Imperial but I wish that I could finish this quest. Ant suggestions??
