Now I'm not just talking about those funny quotes from movies or games that stuck with us, like 'Oh good, my slow clap processors made it into this thing'.

No, I'm talking about those quotes that we've took in and applied it to our lives. Quotes that we have used to inspire us or to motivate us to reach our goals, to live honourably, to be a better person, to assist us in decisions. That kind of thing. But I don't want you all to just post your favourite quote, but to also discuss on it, to explain why this quote is so important to you.

You don't have to share why if you don't want to. It's just that when I went to retreat and heard some quotes from some people, I found that their favourite quotes reflected a little bit about them and their lives. And I thought it would be nice to share.

I'll get the ball rolling I guess.

I got that quote from 'The Power of One' by Bryce Courtenay. He's a favourite author of mine, and I learn a lot from his books. I believe that it's important to think things through, to apply some logic and reasoning, but to also listen to your heart, to your instinct, and also take it into account. To do do what you know is right, and to know what you really want to do.

I would have to say "Never give up, never ever give up". That quote is from Paul Hockey, the first one armed Aussie, in the world, to climb Mt. Everest from the north side. I heard a motivational speech from him a few days ago, and that is something I will defiantly be using for a long long time.

After hearing his speech, that quote is probably the one that stuck with me the most. He really made me realise that I can pretty much do anything if I set my mind to it.

I have no idea why a single line in a videogame made my shoulders feel so much lighter, as games have never really affected my real life at all. 😵
