Ok... so I married Lydia with some mechanization involving the console. So we just get married and she blows the temple saying she is going home to prepare for me. Like a dope, I used the console to find her as she was still on her way to MY HOUSE (Breezehome). I thought she might have had a different house or something and I couldn't find her. Anyway, I walk her home and try to get both of us in the same bed at the same time. NO JOY! I cannot seem to find a way to get the lover's comfort perk. She will cook for me, or at least says "here, this is fresh" (?), and she will address me like we are married, but I can't figure out how to get us both in the bed at the same time.

    Anyone know how it's done?

did you try buying her flowers or anything? girls like that i think now seriously I think there's nothing you can do...well perhaps if you'd make her your active follower there is an option to tell her what to do or where to go...but still I'm not sure this will work but still, good luck with it

Sigh... She is still my follower of course, Lydia is the "housecarl" you get from an early quest which makes her follow me and fight etc., but I just don't get any dialog that will allow us both to be in bed at the same time. I don't know if I did something wrong or not. I added her to the "marriage faction", we both have rings of matrimony, and in all other ways she seems married to me. I just cant find a command for both of us to be in bed at the same time. If I order her to go to bed, as soon as I escape and try to lay down too she gets up like she would from any command you issue her. Maybe I can tell her to "wait here" or something as well... I'll try that, but shouldn't there be a command so you both get in bed together? Has anyone married some other person in the game? How do you do it with a regular marriage partner so you sleep together and get the "lover's comfort" perk. I can do it in the console, but that's no fun!

You get the perk from sleeping in the house they are in, no bed sharing required. It sounds like you just have a glitch in the game. One of my characters has a glitch so I don't get any of the rested bonuses, even though I don't have lycanthropy, vampirism, or other disease that keeps one from getting the rested perk. So far I haven't found a solution. But other characters still get the rested perks included lover's comfort if they sleep at the house their wife is at.

    Thanks OldManHutch...

See... I thought you had to be in the same bed like I see some of the other NPC's sleeping when I inadvertently break into their houses to return something to them. I should stop doing that because they immediately say "you shouldn't be here" and attack me, leading to another senseless tragedy, orphaned children, and a bounty on my head.

I don't seem to get either the "lover's comfort" OR the resting bonus. It's strange, I haven't thought about it much, but people in the streets of Skyrim are always telling me "you don't look so good! Are you feeling alright?". I don't sleep much and am constantly running around even at night trying to complete quests. I guess I should rest more huh?

So... I suppose I will try to rest my character a full 8 hours a night, drink plenty of liquids, eat wholesome foods, and not murder so many people and animals. That might work!

Have you tried a Cure disease potion? Also, make sure she isn't actively following you. Just use the Part Ways option and she will stay in your Breezehome.

    Hi Predreus...

Well... I like Lydia as a follower too! I tried resting for 24 hours so we'll see how that goes. And I guess I could craft some cure disease potions while I'm at it.

But here's the thing... For some reason I am unable to set Lydia's "setplayerrelationship" or whatever it is to "4" for lover. I click on her and add that from the console but it always rejects it. Should I be using her base ID instead of the click on ID?

Or do followers not love you?
