nice one guys, forgot I had this on Origin and not Steam, explains the trainer crashing the game. next time i will be sober & pay attention when i download the trainer!!!

I run into Multiple issues with the steam trainer 1.0.0.2.
When i start playing for example i notice that through the game certain things will just gradually stop working until it becomes unplayable. First with adding levels it just stops the ability to add skill points, and if you add too much experience it can interfere with many quests. Like i'll speak to someone and then i can't walk. Or when i bring up the menu nothing will be there, or i wont be able to click anything, I've ensured that this is the right trainer.
Running the trainer as admin has just sprung to mind, so i'm going to go ahead and give that a try, and maybe running the game as admin as well, (I should have tried that in the first place) I'll let you know if that doesn't work. But at the moment i've had to reset my character about 5 times now D:
Nope, that never made a difference D: if have the trainer activated and start a quest, it doesn't crash. I just speak to someone and no dialogue box comes up or anything. I just stop moving D: I can't press escape (sometimes i can) I can't attack, cast spells, anything like that. I just stand there and watch everyone else around me move. If i deactivate the trainer and restart the game it works then, so i can save it. Restart with the trainer until the next quest. And occasionally during battle. The worst thing is, when it does happen during battle i find that i can't save the game neither. And if it hasn't auto saved it can be that extra bit annoying -_- any ideas?
Okay, I thought I was just being silly and using the wrong trainer earlier, but apparently not.
Does anyone know if Steam uses the Orgin exe? Both Steam trainers crash my game when I hit F1, which I've never had before, even when using a trainer for a different version number. They don't usually crash until I try to activate an option.

no idea if adding XP too high or adding levels too high too early in the game breaks scripted or managed events.
i've played MY character for hours with max skills/abilities.
i find there is no need to use XP any more since you can add skills/abilities at will using the trainer. the level up buttons are so you can buy the skills/abilities that require later levels. you can buy them and then level back down to where you were.
if you had the wrong trainer NOTHING would work and likely the game would crash.
pressing the keys when you shouldn't or improperly (see the instructions) can screw up your game as well.
LOL! thank you :') it's surprising what swallowing your pride and getting the manual out can do for you, Turns out i was just mashing 1,2,3,4,5 as soon as i started the game because i liked the idea of unlimited reckoning. turns out it's advised to keep this off unless you're in combat, as for all my issues with the other keys, (such as levelling up and adding points) I failed to do that in the location specified. I'll see if following these guidelines make a difference :P (they probably will) i'll let you know if they don't ^^
Just discovered a resolution that could make a few peoples lives easier :') if you start a quest and you get the same issues i did there's no need to restart. Press Alt, Shift and make a note of the cheats you activated. consult the user guide and see if any of these could have interfered, (in my case it was unlimited reckoning) Deactivate that cheat while you're in the game and the quest NPC should suddenly start speaking too you :P
Thanks but isn't retail different than Origin even if it makes me install Origin? I ask this because the origin 1.0.0.1 trainer always crashed my game while the first posted trainer from before the release date works. Have you done a retail 1.0.0.2?
