As I stated before, we do not plan to support any other versions of this game than ORIGIN and STEAM. There are ways you can use your retail key and download the game through Origin or Steam. We already have to completely uninstall and re-download this 15GB game from two different sources every single time it patches as the .exe's are packed and we cannot open them without being able to run the game.
There are also no-cd fixes out there which work with our original 1.0.0.1 trainer.

I just tried using the retail code on both Steam and Origin and it did not work on either. Steam said the code was invalid and Origin said I already used the product code
I think I will just wait till I get my next paycheck and just buy the game through Steam.
By any chance could the extra stuff that came with game be interfering with it? I pre-ordered from GameStop that let me download extra destinies and weapons. I am wondering if that could be the problem people like myself with the disks are having.

Have you tried using one of the multiple no-cd fixes that have come out? Also, did you try all three of our trainers with your game?
I tried the retail/steam one and I tried the Origin one as well.
What is a no cd-fix? I have seen them being talked about on the site before but never quite understood what they were. What is a trustworthy site to get one a no cid fix from?

I can confirm that installing with the disc the trainer will not work.
With Origin open and choosing "repair", origin downloads something and installs it. After this repair option, the trainer works flawlessly.
So if you have the disc and install with the disc, choose the "repair" option in origin and then you will be good to go.
Kudos to you for figuring that out. I was getting real grumpy over the trainer not working. I repaired my install via the Origin right click menu and bam, now the trainer works.
Now I can just shift my blame to stupid Origin not installing it properly the first time! Pfeh!
