I also have the retail disk origin install and the trainers I've tried them all do not work for me, I also read the read me's and have done all the items on the faq, compatibility etc and I have not been able to get them to work. I've tried all the retail/origin trainers posted.
I've also used dozens of other trainers here without issues. Must be something related to the retail install when using it through origin.
As I stated before, we do not plan to support any other versions of this game than ORIGIN and STEAM. There are ways you can use your retail key and download the game through Origin or Steam. We already have to completely uninstall and re-download this 15GB game from two different sources every single time it patches as the .exe's are packed and we cannot open them without being able to run the game.
There are also no-cd fixes out there which work with our original 1.0.0.1 trainer.

I am deleting the install and downloading it from Origin instead and will try the trainer specifically from the download version of Origin and we'll see what happens.

I have verified that removing it and re-downloading from Origin, that the trainer does work.
i've tried every single thing for almost 1 hour but still it didn't work for me i really dont know what is the problem i did exactly what u said on the readme.txt i tried every single thing but nothing happend at all. all what i heard is at the main menu when i press f1 it says triner activated then nothing else helpppp

Really strange. I also have the retail disk I installed from and the first steam/retail trainer from here (dated 2-06) is working fine for me. I know there was no download involved in my installation since I was at the computer during the install. I know there was no update done on the game when running it the first time (yet). Wish I could be more helpful to those like me with the retail disk who are having problems.
can you put in an option to remove items because antelope heads are fixed at 4 and the option makes it a 10, so I get an extra stacks of heads and they just keep multiplying, therefore I can't remove them from my inventory. It's so bad right now that I can't even go to the bottom of the item list in my inventory.
