For some reason my Steam pre-order didn't install until yesterday. So, I just started playing it last night. Before I go on, I must confess I love the SS series and had been awaiting this release since I first heard about it. Almost as much as I'm waiting for Diablo III. But, I digress. This iteration of the SS is pretty good so far. I agree with the poster who said that the color palette has not changed much (Croteam must have a dB filled with the background patterns or something so they don't have to keep re-creating them?) so you do get a sort of dejavue feeling while playing. The bad guys seem a bit familiar too but are more robust and graphically filled out. I also agree that it takes way too long to get an arsenal built up. I've been running around like mad looking for the shotgun at least. Haven't had any problems with the game crashing or the trainer not working. Although I would prefer not to keep having to hit the health and armor reset constantly (it says "health reset" and "armor reset" in the trainer details, so I am guessing that is the intended way for it to work). But, it works and the game hasn't crashed as of yet. If you like "run and gun" this is the game for you. Plenty of shooting to be done that's for sure!

So did you unlock any achievements? I heard you can't get them if the trainer is on.

I'd tell you but I can't even play the game for more than 5 minutes, I have a great PC. Can handle BF3 max settings like a champ and any other game I throw at it. Serious Sam 3, after minutes I get a black screen that I cannot exit out of. I have to hard reboot my PC everytime.
