Can we make an offline profile just for this game or is it universal... If so how would I do that.
Also does every step that tostrand mentioned have to be completed. Not trying to be difficult it just seems a little extreme

What you need to do is install the game and then when it tells you there is an update and to login, do not login and youo will be loggged in offline and the save function will work. But if you ever log in and then log back out the save function will not work.

So apparently the cheat protection detected the trainer right before the raz al gul fight, and prevented the event leading to it happening. As a result, i've had to completely restart the game. After having a chat about this with other users of the game, we've found the common link to this issue to be the use of the CH trainer.
Looks like they are being hard asses about this stuff
If a developer is going to add anti cheat protection to a game they should at least provide their own cheats. I don't care if using cheats block achievements. I would rather use cheats than earn achievements.
Thanks for the Trainer but it keeps crashing the Retail game and it seems I'm not the only one. Could you try to make a Trainer that doesn't crash the game please, you have always been the best at Trainers and I love cheating I hope you can make the Trainer work without it crashing the game
When starting Batman Arkman City, Go to your windows live login and make sure your logged out. Then click "Make new profile", scroll down the page of text and you will see a link for"Create local profile" to the right near the bottom in the text. Make a profile and name it whatever you want, for example:Offline play", click submit and your done.
Close and activate Retail trainer. and then play game.
Where are the save games for this located? I have went though all the files I could think of looking for it, but I have had no luck finding anything. I found a folder under Documents\WB Games\Batman Arkham City\SaveData but it was empty. Any help would be appreciated.
First you did look in right folder because thats where I found my savegame.
But the reason that yuo might not be able to see the savegame is because you may need to change your folder option in the control panel so you can see hidden folders and files. That is what I have my file and folders option set for.
Also some people have reported but I don't know if this is accurate that savegames have been disappearing from the savegame folder.

Well, apparently with the Steam version that is not where your profile (save game) is kept. After doing some more searching I found it. To bad I don't have a previous version of the folder I can revert to because I am stuck right after the Demon Trial. Now I get to start over.
