Steam snuck out a patch today that didn't change the version of the game (it still reads as 1.04) but it _does_ prevent the options from doing anything. You will hear the "Trainer Activated" voice in game, but attempting any other option (like adding more cash) will not change the value.
Steam really needs to stop releasing patches without any warning or notification afterwards.
Just reaffirming what the others have said. Unfortunately, I didn't get the trainer until today, and since Steam snuck out yet another patch, the trainer no longer works. Sometimes I love Steam ... and then we have days like today.
Ah well, back to watching Battlestar Galactica until a trainer update comes along

Yep trainer not working..again..thanks for updating Steam...hmmm....Well mine says "Trainer activatet" but when loading any mission the game crashes...
My game doesnt crash when used, and I do get the "Trainer Activated" message (though sometimes i have to tab out and back in, in order to get it).
I also get the "Activated" message when turning on the options, but sadly, they have no actual in-game effects.

I think they released another patch so soon because the DLC just came out and there might be a bug with that that they're trying to fix. - - - - - - - - - -
