Im looking for a cheat that will somehow copy my character and turn it into a npc. this was possible in oblivion and i would like to know if it is in skyrim.
also. when i use the additem command on a npc the npc get no item. any idea what i am doing wrong ?
hmm not sure if possible can take away items by clicking and typing removeallitems so should be a way maybe clicking on them and then additem # 1 yeap verified it works did it to chicken added 9999 gold that is one rich chicken or was killed it
When you open the console do a mouse click on the npc, they need to be fairly close to you, not off in the distance. This will show their ID in the center of the screen. Then just additem to them. (ex. "additem f 12345" to give a vendoring npc some extra cash)

So you are wanting to make another version of yourself? But make it an npc. If so you will need the Construction kit. But that is not out yet.
And I have not known of any cheat that would do it even in oblivion!
Now the add item code will only work with the player not npc's!
It does work on NPC's. As stated before in this topic, click the NPC with the console open, then type: "Additem 000000F 99999" to give him 99999 gold. This is really useful because some NPC's that can follow you, won't allow you to give them items (*Cough Aela, Vilkas, Farkas*) so you can give them an uber weapon just like that.
Don't make it player.additem because then it adds the items to you, obviously.
